| Here at Fontaine, we believe that one of our callings as a church is to work to advance the kingdom of Jesus Christ both here in Martinsville and around the world. One of the ways in which we do that is through our activity in foreign missions work. As a small church, our abilities are modest, but we are praying that God will give us power to share in his missions work in mighty ways.To that end, we donate money regularly to the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Gideons, to two missionary families ministering in South East Asia and to a church planter working in Quebec, Canada. It is our desire to see our missions commitment grow in coming years.We have begun the yearly tradition of hosting a missions conference in order to re-align our purposes and goals with God’s heart for reaching the nations with the power of the Gospel.
